It offers applicants the chance to have more responsibility at Camp, advocate for themselves and others and learn new skills.​

Head Counselor 

• Selecting this opportunity notifies us that you are interested in a leadership role within the counseling role.

• A head counselor will have additional training days to attend prior to all staff training.

• Responsibilities of a head counselor include and are not limited to: aiding in staff training sessions, being a resource for other counseling staff, developing resources for staff, and leading in-services.

• It is preferred that head counselors have multiple years of summer camp counseling and/or childcare experience and are at least 19 years old. 

 

​Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee Member

• ​Those on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee will be asked to attend meetings (virtual and/or in person) leading up to and throughout the summer. 

• Committee members will help start new and continue with previous conversations that center around diversity, equity and inclusion at Camp Manitou.

Support Staff Intern

• Selecting this opportunity notifies us that you are interested in learning more about a Support Staff position for the future.

• This does not guarantee that you will be able to intern or job shadow a Support Staff position. It does start a conversation about how we can make that possible or other opportunities we can work out to get you experience with a Support Staff role. 

• Once applications are submitted we will reach out to inquire more about this opportunity.

Aid on Grounds Crew with projects

• Selecting this opportunity notifies us that you are interested in helping our grounds crew with projects that may come up around camp.

• This does not guarantee that you will be aiding with projects. It does tell the administrative and facilities team that you are interested in helping if the need arises. 

• Scheduling for this opportunity is likely to happen closer to the summer and as the summer progresses and the needs of camp develop.

• Projects could include but are not limited to: staining cabins, building benches, dining hall construction site preparation
